Does anyone know what happened to Mountain Sports ? They used to be on 8th and Pearl and also next to Whole Foods. I bought some gear 3 years ago and became a member at that point. Visited Boulder this >weekend and was looking for it.
They closed their downtown store some time ago (after running both stores for a while). The store by Whole Foods closed a few months ago. Most people seem to blame the opening of a nearby REI, but I think it was more due to the location. Most of my friends (all of whom shop at such places) didn’t even know it was there. They really should have stayed downtown.
